1. Intelligent surge protection device characteristics
Intelligent surge protection device (SPD) is a high-tech product designed for "surge protection online monitoring", 35mm DIN- rail
installation design, which combines SPD and detection modules together, for on-line monitoring SPD degradation, circuit breaker
working status, SPD action times (surge counting). It is realized on-line checking automatically, real-time monitoring.
Adopt RS485 cable communication transmission data for monitoring module, which can connect with background server, to record and
check the data.
The monitoring software can display SPD degraded status, circuit breaker working status, SPD action times (surge counting), 24 hours
interruption online monitoring, recorded data automatically stored, convenient for data query, SPD working situation analyzing.
Intelligent SPD used for the power supply, railway, oil and petrochemical industry, new energy, communications, environmental protection
and water conservancy industry, airport landing and other power distribution system, to achieve real-time monitoring SPD surge protection
status.
2. Intelligent surge protection device basic monitoring principle
• SPD degradation monitoring:
Monitoring SPD remote port signals, through its own collection system, uninterrupted collecting the remote port signals, when the
signal is disconnected, the collection system will alarm in seconds.
• Circuit breaker monitoring:
Real-time monitoring the circuit breaker's disconnect and connect status, when the circuit breaker disconnected from power supply,
the collection system will alarm in seconds.
• SPD action times (Surge counting) monitoring:
It is composed of built-in current sensing device, signal processing circuit and electromagnetic counter. The current sensing device is
connected with the surge protection device into the ground line. The induced current signal is recorded by limiting the amplitude,
rectifying and filtering the electromagnetic counter to record the surge strike times.
